KUALA LUMPUR: The Housing and Local Government Ministry is studying whether to include voluntary fire-fighting squads in the Fire Services Act, said its minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting. He said the ministry intended to amend the Act so that the operations of the squads, now registered under the Registrar of Societies, could be better coordinated.(01-02-2008 The Star)
