Bliss Avenue buys Putrajaya land for RM24m
PUTRAJAYA Holdings Sdn Bhd, the master developer of Malaysia's administrative capital, has sold a parcel of land in Putrajaya to Bliss Avenue Property Development Sdn Bhd for RM23.7 million to develop into a business, residential and office centre.Bliss Avenue is a wholly-owned unit of Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd, which specialises in developing condominiums, service apartments and office buildings.Malaysia Land Properties in turn is the Malaysian unit of Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed Far East Consortium, a property developer in Hong Kong and owner of the Sheraton Subang, Sheraton Labuan, Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur hotels and the Hartamas shopping centre.Malaysia Land Properties vice-chairman Tan Sri David Chiu said the company will build 14-storey office towers and commercial lots on the land with construction due to begin in four months at a construction cost of RM100 million.

Putrajaya Holdings in talks to sell building
PUTRAJAYA: Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PJH) has identified three investors for the en bloc sale of its 26 Boulevard office building in Putrajaya's Precint 3, said chief executive officer Azlan Abdul Karim. The investors comprised two local parties and one foreign purchaser, he said. “We will give the first option (to purchase) to the local investors but we will, of course, consider the best offer,” Azlan told reporters at a seminar yesterday. The 12-storey building has 48,000 sq m gross floor space and is valued at more than RM200mil. Read More(The Star 14-2-2008)

More embassies at Putrajaya
THE recent opening of the KL-Putrajaya Highway would bode well for foreign missions planning to establish base in the federal administrative capital.The Putrajaya Diplomatic Precinct in Precinct 15 covers an area of 83.7ha. The main development component is the 61 lots of embassy land offered for sale to foreign missions with basic infrastructure.Bangladesh has paid for the purchase of Lots B20 and C15 with a total land area of 9, 373 sq m. Khairuzzaman said land-clearing works would commence after the paperwork was settled.The Iraq Embassy has been given the go ahead to commence earthworks following the approval of its building plans. Other foreign missions are biding their time, pending negotiation of the agreement or seeking final approval from their home countries.The list includes the Philippines, Egypt, Algeria, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Senegal and Kuwait Embassies as well as the Brunei, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Ghana and Kenya High Commissions.
