KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvestment Bank Bhd has clinched the “Best Islamic REIT Deal in Southeast Asia” award in the inaugural Southeast Asia Deal Awards organised by the Alpha Southeast Asia magazine.The programme was not only the world’s first sukuk issued by an Islamic REIT but also the first Islamic structure based on Ijarah, where the Ijarah is leased under the master lease, followed by existing commercial leases forming the sub-leases.
